MISSONS 2018-19

There is great diversity in the kinds of missions as well as the location of the mission (local, regional, national, as well as overseas). Most, if not all, of the missions offer opportunities for volunteers to serve. If one of these missions tugs at your heart, take some time to explore how you might help promote that mission.

Hamish and Molly (Vance) Taylor in New Zealand

Hamish and Molly Taylor have served in New Zealand since 2009.  Hamish was lead minister in a church plant in Christchurch, now known as “Rechurch”, which continues to thrive and evangelize that area.  In 2012, Hamish stepped away for a time of spiritual renewal and seeking direction for the next step.  They have been involved with Shore Community Church since that time, preaching, teaching, mentoring, and leading small groups.  Now they feel called back into church planting in the Auckland area.  They are joining Nate and Whitney Hutchison, who were their partners in starting Rechurch.

Molly grew up in the Wilmington church, and both graduated from Cincinnati Christian University.  They have 3 sons, Liam (9), Dillon (7), and Riley (4).

Beautiful Feet/Indonesia

WCC supports Brent & Maddison McCoppin.

There are still more than two billion people who haven’t ever heard that Jesus came to earth to rescue them. Many of these people are still living in primitive and hopeless conditions where death, disease and hunger are daily realities. There are no churches, no Christian radio broadcasts and no Bible translations in a language that they can understand. Each of these people has never even had the opportunity to respond to Jesus’ call to salvation. Beautiful Feet is a specialized missions agency that is called to partner with local churches to train and send long-term, church planting missionary teams to these people who are still unreached by the gospel.
