Peace by Jacob Blouse
So during this pandemic I have had to reconstruct my everyday routine. The way I do my job, go to the store, the way I participate in church, and many other things have all changed. It can be discouraging.
Too often anymore, there seems to be no adequate answers to our human dilemma. Last night before I read my Bible study, a question was making its way through my mind.
Will I ever feel less stressed out about the world than I do right now?
I read a verse verse that immediately gave me a peace of mind and I wanted to share.
“Everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”
I have come to realization that my body was not designed to handle the stress and weight of the world on my shoulders. I was designed to know God and make Him known. So why worry about something God promised He has already taken care of? The pain of this world will always be around and we can’t prevent it from coming. However, we can control who we put our trust in to handle it. Peace is not the absence of trouble, its the presence of Jesus.
