Wilmington Church of Christ began in October, 1954. Founding minister Arthur Merkle and his wife Mabel worked with a dedicated group of Christians to establish and grow the church.
The church moved to its present location on West Locust Street in 1955. Since then, three additions have been made to the original building.
Over the years God has blessed the church with spiritual and numerical growth. The church’s ministry extends beyond the boundaries of Wilmington and Clinton County into Bosnia, the Hispanic community of Miami Florida, Cuba and Taiwan through direct supported missionaries in those fields.
Keith Dimbath presently serves the church as Senior Minister. He has been a part of the church staff since 1980 and began serving as Senior Minister in 1999.
