Financial Team Ministry
Purpose
The goals of Financial Team Ministry is to lead and address all actions which relate to the financial well-being of the church through anticipation of needs, the planning of budgets, the preparation of financial reports, and the assisting with the financial goals of other ministry divisions.
Team Ministry Functions
It is the responsibility of Financial Team Ministry to set goals, develop plans, and lead the congregation in management of its financial resources in cooperation with other ministries. Specific responsibilities include:
1. Audits: monitor the receiving, accounting, reporting, and disbursing of all church
funds for the protection of the team ministry and the church family.
2. Financial Management: evaluate the budget in light of cash flow projections,
income, expenditures, and ongoing needs.
3. Capital Investments: plan for large purchases by implementing policies and
procedures that control and streamline the handling of church funds.
4. Stewardship: promote a stewardship attitude of the Lord’s assets within the
church through action as well as education.
