"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7,8)

1. What are the times for worship services?

Sunday morning Worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. Bible School classes meet at 9:00 a.m. See also the Services information page .

2. How can I meet people and make friends at WCC?
In a church of our size, the best way to meet people is to join one of our ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship) Classes where you will be able to meet people of like age and interest in a more informal setting. It is in this smaller framework that significant friendships and bonds will be formed. For a listing of all the ABF Classes, see the Adult Ministries information.

3. How do I become a member of WCC?
An invitation is offered by our Senior Minister, Keith Dimbath at the close of each worship service to come forward and express your decision at that time. If you have never been immersed for the forgiveness of your sins and accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can be baptized at that time. If you have already been immersed and wish to transfer your membership to WCC, you will be introduced to the congregation and welcomed as a member of WCC. If you would prefer to talk to a minister about membership, you may call the office M-F (8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) at 937-382-0904 and ask to speak with Keith, Steve, or Tony.

4. Are there any requirements for membership?
Anyone wishing to make a commitment to membership must be willing to surrender his/her life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This means:

1. Admitting that all people (including you) have sinned - Romans 3:23.

2. Acknowledging that Jesus Christ is God's only Son, that He paid the penalty for your sin by His death on the cross, and the he made it possible for you to have a new life through His resurrection - Romans 10:9; Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:17, 21.

3. Totally trusting Jesus Christ by: accepting His free forgiveness, repenting of your past and present wrong doing, being baptized by immersion into Him, and surrendering your abilities, your desires, and your whole life to Him–Acts 2:38; Romans 6.

5. Is baptism necessary?
Yes. Jesus commanded everyone who accepts Him to be baptized for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, 20; Acts 2:38).

6. Are there programs for my children or teens?
Yes. Programs are offered on Sunday for children, youth, and adults. We provide a fully staffed nursery, preschool, elementary
, and junior/senior high services by trained volunteers during our Bible School times at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, and a fully staffed Cradle/Toddler room during our worship service at 10:30 Sunday morning. We also provide Sunday evening and Wednesday evening programming for those age groups as well. For more information please call the church office at 937-382-0904 and ask for the following or send an email: Minister of Children/Youth – Tony Brackemyre, tonysturf@wcconline.org

7. How can I learn more about what WCC believes?
Several times through the year, our Minister of Adult Education and Involvement, Steve Wetterhan, offers a Discovery Series. In this series he covers what the Bible says about the church, our practices and beliefs, and the organization of our church structure. You may register for the next class by contacting our church office. See also the We Believe information
.

8. What style of music is incorporated in your services–contemporary or traditional?
We incorporate what we call a 'blended style worship.' We use both contemporary choruses and traditional hymns. We also use varying instruments (drums, keyboards, guitars, organ, etc.) as a means to express our worship to God. We try to sings songs "about God" and also songs "to God." Ephesians 3:15 calls us to be "one body" and to use "both psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in lifting our hearts to God." Many of us have a personal style or flavor that we like. Ephesians 4:1-13 calls us "to be unified in the Body of Christ." Worship is an experience that bonds the believers through "one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God, and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." Worship unites us!
