Construction has been completed on the new Ministry Center and existing building. The Ministry Center is in use seven days a week. (i.e. Clinton County Blood Bank - second Wednesday of every month), Relay for Life, Maximum Impact, Upward Basketball, May and November Elections, and benefit banquets and more!). This is the second year the Singing Christmas Tree will be presented in the new facility. The Ministry Center has hosted our own VBS, Creation Celebration, Super Bowl Youth Party, Final Four Youth Party several weddings and funerals. On Wednesday evenings the Atrium is used for our Wednesday Meal Ministry who serves a delicious meal prior to our evening activities. Since the completion of the Ministry Center, our Wednesday evening meal attendance has grown from serving 45 to 50 to now serving close to 100. This building was built to be used in glorifying God and it is. There are programs and events scheduled well into 2007.
YOUTH WORSHIP AREA
The youth worship area has been completed and is in full swing. This area (which used to be our sanctuary) now has a classroom for the Jr. High School, a classroom for the High School plus a small Chapel (complete with its own sound system and over head projection). The classrooms are equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, TV's, DVD players and games. This area has and continues to be used for various youth activities (i.e. Sunday School, Small Groups, Fifth Quarter parties to name a few).
VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED
With the addition of the Ministry Center and all of the added programs, many more volunteers are needed. We have several very devoted volunteers, but we still need more. If you would be willing to volunteer one hour a week in helping to maintain this facility that God has blessed us with, please call me at 382.0904 or email me and I would be happy to talk with you about what is needed. You will be pleasantly surprised at the satisfaction and blessings you receive from volunteering.
FACILITIY RESERVATIONS
If you are thinking about reserving any part of the facility, please contact Steve Wetterhan or myself as soon as you have the details of your event. 2008 is beginning to fill up and although we want to accommodate as many events as possible, if you wait until the last minute with your reservation request, a particular area may not be available. Facility reservation forms, fees & agreement letters are available by clicking below, or they are also in the pocket outside the office door in the foyer for your convenience.
A FACT YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW
The combined square footage of all of the bathrooms in the new facility is equal to the square footage of our old sanctuary.
